The #ShutItAllDown protest is a chain of protests by young Namibians condemning the surge of gender-based violence against women and children, which eventually prompted a nationwide conversation about SGBV, femicide and overall safety of women in the country. #ShutItAllDown: Demands justice, Namibians haven taken themselves to the streets to protest against sexual gender-based violence (SGBV). Marching through the streets Namibians have pledged to keep protesting until substantial political action is taken by the government to address femicide, rape and sexual abuse.
